My philosophy

Teaching is a deeply important part of my musical life and something I am incredibly passionate about. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with university level students both as a coach and mentor—supporting the growth of ensembles and soloists at institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music in London and the University of Toronto. In these settings, I’ve focused not only on musical excellence, but also on building communication, collaboration, and artistic identity.

Beyond the university environment, I maintain a vibrant private teaching studio where I work closely with students of all levels, tailoring my approach to each individual's needs and goals. My work is informed by a holistic perspective, shaped by my 200-hour yoga and meditation teacher training, as well as my certification in private coaching. I believe that artistry and well-being are deeply interconnected—and I strive to create a space where students can thrive both musically and personally.

I’m also passionate about outreach and community engagement. Through the Global Leaders Program program, I’ve led workshops and creative projects in Africa, Canada and South America - that bring music to broader audiences, often in non-traditional settings. These experiences have deepened my belief in the power of music to connect, inspire, and heal.

Whether in the classroom, rehearsal room, or one-on-one setting, I approach teaching as a partnership—an evolving dialogue rooted in curiosity, honesty, and care.
